Counseling & Therapy
On the Margins offers trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapy services in-person and virtually. Services are provided in English and Spanish by our bilingual and multicultural practitioners. The cost of each session is set by an income-based sliding scale. We also accept Medicare and Carelon Commercial insurances (formerly Beacon Health). We offer: Individual therapy for children, teens and adults, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
Under the law, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the expected costs of your medical and mental health care services.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
A Good Faith Estimate outlines the total expected cost of non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy or counseling services.
This applies to patients who:
Do not have insurance
Are not using insurance for their care.
YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE LAW
Request a Good Faith Estimate
You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service or at any time.
Providers are required to provide you with this estimate in writing.
Dispute a Bill
If you receive a bill that is at least $600 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute it.
Be sure to save a copy or take a picture of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.

During the initial consult, you will meet for approximately 20 minutes with our Practice Manager. Our Practice Manager will describe our services, ask you a number of questions, and will assign you to one of our counselors if a good fit is determined. An outside referral may be provided if it is determined that services at On the Margins are not appropriate.
